Anime Realms X Unlock Abilities: Unit Development

Follow the unit-growth relationship

To unlock abilities in Anime Realms X, start with the unit you want to develop.

The official description explicitly connects leveling units with unlocking abilities and building a unique squad. Choose the hero for its contribution before investing, so the new development serves a defense you actually intend to play.

Keep unlocking separate from rerolling

A trait roll changes the trait decision; an individual stat roll concerns the hero’s stat grades. Neither should be treated as proof that a particular ability has unlocked. The progression walkthrough moves between these systems while developing Jiren, showing why they need separate resource goals.

Evolution is another development direction, with requirements tied to the chosen hero. Do not combine every upgrade into one imagined unlock recipe. Use unit levels for the basic relationship and evolution requirements when a specific evolution is the project.

Give the new ability a place in the team

A useful attack needs a squad that can support it. Keep a dependable early unit while preparing a stronger option, then decide what the developed hero will replace. An expensive specialist should add something meaningful, rather than forcing you to abandon the opening that already works.

Read unit abilities to interpret the demonstrated attack role. Avoid copying an advanced showcase’s final damage without its trait, stat and buff context. The goal is a new contribution you can use, not simply another impressive number on a collection screen.
